I stopped writing personal blog

Change of plan and action, I no longer write in this blog. I have a separate blog hosted on 'Hostgator'. I write about personal finance and mix it with my own thoughts and feelings.

Personal finance always attracts me, since child hood, and hence, there I am at now. It will be a challenge to find site address as I do not mention my name, apart from  my initials, 'SB'. Just a few hints in rest of this post, if you are intelligent, you will find it with Google search.

If you can, do leave a comment here to let me know your gray cell capacity.

My blog has started attracting a lot of visitors. But in personal finance blog space, it's tough to survive. Simply there are enough blogs writing about saving money, investing ideas and increase earnings, but, I struggled throughout starting from the school, like all Indians do.  I still hold my day job, and not doing too bad there, I will continue to do well till I get a better footprint with my blog.

If you go to professional blog site on personal finance, like "GetRichSlowly.com", "wisebread.com", "Lazymanandmoney.com" or "thesimpledollar.com", you will notice how advanced the bloggers are these days. They left their job, they employ people to assist them in day to day blog related work like answering to comments, promoting on social media. They have professional help in setting up their SEO plan, creating back links etc.

All these are needed, to have your posts on the top of Google search every time key words are searched.

I am all alone, doing everything myself, starting from page design, logo design, to set up search engine optimization, I had to put back links from other blog sites, it takes a lot of time, sometimes you don't have enough time to write your actual post, you were so busy promoting your site and building SEO back links. After working on it for last few months I now attract daily 50 visitors. I know if I open up to my friends, I will probably get 50 more daily visitors.

For now I want to concentrate on organic build up of traffic first. I haven't monetized my site yet, just trying to get more and more visitors to build a brand, then I will put adsense and other affiliate ads. People establish their blogs slowly, they start with earning nothing. Established bloggers make around 30K- 40k per month from the blog ads alone. The sites I mentioned above are of these category. Not to metnion that they publish yearly ebooks, sell it on Amazon, they make 6 figure sum from their book sell. It's mind boggling, isn't it?

If you are serious about blogging as business, I would suggest you read problogger.net regularly, they make business out of bloggers, unlike us who want to do business with the readers!

Do leave your comments, and yes, if you find my site, do let me know. I may not post any further on this domain, though it's free and I can keep it forever.

You have read enough now do some Google search, don't search with my name, you can't find it!
